Progress-fn

We have been making progress on our stairway.
The drywall is all up.
We have tomorrow off, so will put in different temporary steps of the new size and build the scaffold th allow us to start mudding.

Last weekend we were at the farm.  J was dedicated.
Isn't he handsome and isn't he getting big!

Stairway - fn

So, the stairway

This is the dresser we made into a bathroom vanity, sitting in it's place, but not hooked up yet.  We've got quite a bit to do here.

Alaska likes the cold weather.  We were hoping for something warmer.  The snow was gone by the time we left on Thursday.

The house looks pretty with the snow, but we were glad to see it gone.

With the foliage all gone, you can see the bluff on the other side of the river.  The other side is quite a bit higher than our side.

And you can see HighBridge

They have 2 babies and this is one of them.

And of course this is the cutest one.  He put on Grandpa's cap and his mud boots and was ready to go.  He even has a Wheaton sweatshirt.

That's all for now.  Our first day back to work and it is time to go home.

Week at the Farm - fn

We had a whole week at the farm.  Bob took care of chores and I took care of Bob so C&J&J could go to J's parents.

Now Bob doesn't like chickens.   But he did a great job and one of the chickens wants to be a pet.  Charley had warned him ahead of time.  When they got this baby chick, it's beak was crossed.  They didn't think she would be able to eat, but she has done fine.  And I guess she thinks she deserves more attention than the others.  She will fly up to the fence and then jump up on Bob's shoulder.  One time he was farther away and she flew, but not far enough.  So she landed on the ground, jumped up on a half barrel where they keep feed, up on a bale of straw and then up to Bob's shoulder.  You've got to admire that in an animal.

We were very pleased to get the stair rail in.  We still have to put the trim around the bottom of the post but we had to make that to fit.

It won't let me bring in more pictures, so I'll end this post and make another.
