Picture driving this lane at night. The sky is so dark you can see all the stars. The lights are shining from the house like a Thomas Kinkade painting. We just can't wait to get "home."
We left work at noon on Friday. We arrived at the farm at bedtime. We talked to John on the phone and told him
we were running late because we were stuck in traffic up in Chicago. The next morning, John wanted to know about us being stuck
in traffic. He was picturing us being
stuck in the mud.
We have 2 major projects for the week. One is to dig a trench from the house out to
the barn to run electric lines and water line to a new hydrant, and a water
line out the field to a new hydrant for the truck garden.
Then we need to build line fence. There is about 2 ½ miles of line fence and
none existing when we bought the land.
We have an early start in the morning so need to get to bed quickly.
